Recent decisions by the Copyright Royalty Board would effectively eliminate net competition to the status quo by pricing most internet radio stations out of the market. A house bill has been introduced (HR 2060 -THE INTERNET RADIO EQUALITY ACT.) to save net radio. Please write your congressman and urge him/her to co-sponsor or support this legislation. 
Westland, MI - Freek Energy presents "Stinko De Mayo" - a rock and roll concert event featuring live music from Crud, The Universal Temple of Divine Power, Decibilt and Low As I. The show reunites two members of the acclaimed Detroit metal band Seduce in separate, but equally provocative rock projects. Seduce's guitar hero David Black contributes his blistering riffage to MTV darlings Crud's decadent rock assault. Chuck Burns, who serves as Seduces drummer, shines as a guitarist and co-vocalist with his southern rock influenced band, The Universal Temple of Divine Power. Click "read more" below.
CNV Band's third CD "Processed American Blues Product" is nearing completion. The CD contains nine tracks. Musical style ranges from traditional electric blues to full blown blues rock and - what's that? A pop song?

It has nothing to do with local music and everything to do with political sanity (in my opinion), but I though some of you might like to know that Ralph Nader will be appearing at the Detroit Insitute of Arts film theatre for the Detroit premier of the IFC documentary, An Unreasonable Man at 7:30 pm on Thursday, April 19th. Mr. Nader will lead a discussion and field questions following the showing. The Nader organizers are also looking for help in promoting the event. After a fine Detroit debut performance at 313.jac/Jacoby’s earlier this year Toledo’s own POLKA FLOYD, “Pink Floyd done Polka style” tribute band makes a return show to the city on Saturday, April 28 at the Cadieux Café. POLKA FLOYD is the side project of native Detroiter Ken Haas who lends his guitar and vocals to this unique band.
