 HUMOR: Heroin Declared ''Unhealthy''
PostMortimer writes

Here’s some health news you might find surprising: despite a recent resurgence in use among Americans, a recreational drug known as heroin has been found to be harmful, according to researchers at the Noe-Schitt Institute of the Obvious (NSIO).
The opiate, also known as “horse,” “junk” and “Sweet Lady H” enjoyed widespread popularity some three and four decades ago, but fell out of favor for many years, being replaced by cocaine, LSD and other more easily available substances.

 12 MILE OPEN MIC
nudeartists writes

12 Mile Open Mic happens every Tuesday at AMICI'S LIVING ROOM in Berkley, Michigan. It's a unique place for musicians to showcase their abilities. It's also located right next to Amici's Pizza and is a dining area during the day time. The atmosphere is dim lit, and cozy with stools, a bar, chairs, tables, and a fire place. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy an evening out with friends or a significant other. You never know who you might meet at AMICI'S LIVING ROOM. People visit here from all over the world. Come on out and grab a seat, a drink, and meet some great people. Hope to see you soon. Click "Read More" for directions, phone #, etc...

 Humor: New Disc Stumps Hackers
(source: unsolicited e-mail turns out to be from UrbanFlex.com)
Subject: New Anti-Piracy Music Format

Music bosses have unveiled a revolutionary new recording format that they hope will help win the war on illegal file sharing which is thought to be costing the industry millions of dollars in lost revenue.

Nicknamed the 'Record', the new format takes the form of a black, vinyl disc measuring 12 inches in diameter, which must be played on a specially designed 'turntable'.

 etymological grace
graceiam writes Ever wonder, like me, exactly WHAT a certain word MEANS? Take 'LOUNGE' (as in, 'Lounge Music' or Lounge Lizard')....best definition I could find: "to spend time in idleness"...."in a relaxed way" ...that's exactly what my philosophy has always been with regards to the making and performing of music....'nice & easy'....it should not be a 'chore'....it's MUSIC, afterall, and music is for our soulish enjoyment....it is a form of release, similar to coitus...of the creative energies...after which, you usually want to RELAX!

 Grace Introduces The Klaver Project
graceiam writes

When I first the boys in The Klaver Project they were our special impromtu guests at a show we did at Mt. Chalet, in Royal Oak. We performed there one Sunday a month for several months, to a house-full of very loving, and generous, familiar-faces. My drummer, Michael J. Kora, and my pianoman/arranger, Lucky Joe Neely, had 'another band' and they wanted us all to meet. The very first 'sit-in' was a magical moment, as Klaver's lead vocalist, Reggie Smith, and I found harmony a natural occurance between us.
