 Bubby Jackson Experience
maggieb writes
Bubby Jackson, a 19 year old blues man, transplated to Michigan recently from Maryland, will be headlining a large festival in Delray Beach, FL the first weekend of November. Garlicfest will run Nov 1-3. Headliners include, Bubby Jackson, Jonny Lang and Little Feat.
High Flyin' Bird will also be flyin' down to play a 90 minute set on this festival, as well as Bill Wharton, The Sauce Boss.
Bubby was selected for this event as a up and coming, young guitar slinger, and the festival felt that he could certainly hold his own against their more proven headliners. . .
CLick "Read More" for the skinny on Bubby.

His and Hers Live Reviews: Mixxle Plix @ The Token
It doesn't happen often, but it does happen (just don't bet on it happening again any time soon). We have not one, but two reviews (his & hers) of the same show at The Token Lounge last Saturday. The Kat and Distortion Dave give their independent reviews of a M.A.M.A. Productions show featuring Miixxle Plixx. Here's a hint: Sounds like somebody might be looking for a new job soon. . .  Ty Stone: Mojave Marinoia & The Desert Dream
Our muse on the road, Ty Stone, has returned with a tale about getting out of L.A. for a while, driving deep into the Mojave Desert to meet a total stranger in the dark (wondering if he's going to come back alive) and, if all goes well, returning to L.A. with a music video in hand. But Ty finds more than he bargained for in the mysterious desert where Jim Morrison ate peyote buds and wrote surreal poetry. Click "Read More" for a homeboy's southwest desert adventure.

Review: Bubby Jackson @ Breaktime Billiards
Though he's actually from Maryland (you know, where you have to wear a flak jacket when you go to the gas station?), we adopted blues breaker Bubby Jackson as a Michigan musical refugee until things chill out down there. Actually, Marla Swartz, the brains, beauty and business behind Eldar Entertainment is letting Bubby crash on her couch for the time being. She even lent him some local talent to keep his chops up until he can one day return to "The Old Line State."

CD Review: Audra Kubat's ''Untitled For Now''
Even though he's been accused of going "soft" by his wife, Mitch explains his recent fixation with Audra Kubat's "UNTITLED for now". In another lengthy review, Mitch writes...

'..Like taking Seconal® through my ears, Kubat's music makes me want to curl up like a cat in a window box on a cool, autumn afternoon.'

Barbituate references aside, two of Kubat's folk/pop gems have been included for your listening pleasure (hope you have a cable modem or better- but well worth the download if not). Click "Read More" below.
