DCVB to Promote Detroit Music Scene
As reported on Michigan Public Radio, the Detroit Convention and Visitors Bureau (DCVB) will be promoting Detroit's music scene as a feature of the city as a travel destination. Citing SPIN magazine's recent "Best of 2002" issue as proof of Detroit's importance in producing world-class musical talent, the DCBV will be launching a publicity campaign that focuses on the city's musicians, free music festivals and other attractions.  Blue Tail Fly: ''...cheap-ass sampler
Having received plenty of swag from the heavy-mental trio BLUE TAIL FLY and their fearless leader Swipsey, we figured we they long overdue for a review.
'(BTF's) music is unusual, interesting, twisted and hard. Swipesy's guitar work doesn't crunch like typical metal - but screams like a mental banshee.'
Though this particular sampler isn't available to the public, we're giving away a couple BTF discs to worthy beggars who can use the "Comment" button. Click "Read More" for the review and details on the giveaway.

Show review: Seduce @ Emerald Theater
wiki writes Mt. Clemens 12/26/02 - Once again, Seduce kicked ass! Not as many people in attendance like the September Reunion show, but still a pretty good showing. The first act, 60 Second Crush rocked the house. I dug 'em. They got the crowd worked up pretty good. Wicked Wish was the 2nd act and didn't seem to catch the eye of the crowd. Everyone was there to see Seduce and at one point, the guitarist from WW was yelling into themic to get some crowd response. Click "Read More" for WIKI's full review.
