| Storm Records 2002 Holiday Bash Revisited |
|
Took in the Storm Records / Generation Press Holiday Bash on Dec 20th at Jacoby's in downtown Detroit featuring performances by Student Driver, Hoppin' Mad, Ruth's Hat and Caulfield. I'd been waiting almost a year to see Caulfield live after going totally nut-shit over their CD "Sleep Tight Ya Morons". It was to be a rare live performance. Rare because, as singer/songwriter Noah Shusterbauer put it, "We've just been really lazy and haven't played out all that much." Click "Read More" for Mitch's review.

From DCM's Larry Garcia: The year is starting out very nicely. We are starting to do one Wednesday a month at Memphis Smoke with two of our bands each doing half the evening. Hunter Brucks has already been approved for regular lineup, so after this wednesday he will be in regular rotation which is very cool. This wednesday (1-8-03) should be fun up there with Hunter . . . | Blue Tail Fly: ''...cheap-ass sampler |
|
Having received plenty of swag from the heavy-mental trio BLUE TAIL FLY and their fearless leader Swipsey, we figured we they long overdue for a review. '(BTF's) music is unusual, interesting, twisted and hard. Swipesy's guitar work doesn't crunch like typical metal - but screams like a mental banshee.'
Though this particular sampler isn't available to the public, we're giving away a couple BTF discs to worthy beggars who can use the "Comment" button. Click "Read More" for the review and details on the giveaway.
