Review: Jill Jack's 'The Love Hotel'
I have so many local CD's waiting for reviews, some discs sit for months before I get to them. So I'm grateful guitarist / producer Billy Brandt e-mailed to remind me I had a copy of Jill Jack's "The Love Hotel" somewhere - because I didn't know exactly where it was. I searched my office, my CD collection and the stacks of discs piled on around my computer and eventually found it hiding in the map bin of my truck - where it's been sitting since last June! How embarrassing! So, without further ado - please enjoy this review of Jill Jack's "The Love Hotel" complete with sound samples and a track by track analysis. Click "Read More" below. - Mitch

 January 18th show. BIG hit
ponygrrl writes
January 18th was amazing at Maggies. A lot of people showed up, and the bands played absolutely great shows. Half The Battle was up first and they ROCKED. Jon-the frontman for the band-sang his f*ing heart out. And he even was so into it, he couldnt stay on stage. You can find out more about the band and their up and coming tour at HalfTheBattle.net.

 Blind Pig 1-9-03
WWghost writes Not only is Mitch demanding more submissions, but now other MB users are as well; someone must have spotted me taking notes at The Blind Pig a couple weeks ago, because when they didn't see my review here, they decided to confront me about it. After being threatened with bodily harm, I made a frantic search for those scribblings and finally wrote up a review. So here are some words about Four Years Gone, I Decline and Inner Recipe, all of whom gave Ann Arbor's Blind Pig a generous dose of raw Rock and Roll. Click "Read More" for wwghost's review.

 SurReal-finally something real
ponygrrl writes I just recieved SurReal's CD and I was absolutely floored when I heard them. The very first song began to play and I was hooked. I cant believe how great they sounded-and this cd was just their first little thing recorded. If this is what they sound like with barely any time to record, and a very sick singer-I cant wait until they get back into the studio and release more. Definately keep an eye out for them, they truely have talent and I am happy to say that I am Hooked on something SurReal.
