Ok people. Prepare for a shock, a SOUL SHOCK that is. This popular Jackson hard rock band is scheduled to re-announce themselves as early as spring. After some minor adjustments , adding SHANE LAMBERT *ex-drummer from Skull Buzz, Soul Shock is expected to buzz the music scene once again. Drawing favorable comparisons to bands like Creed and Godsmack, the "shocking" 5 piece cover band is expecting to add more original material and head to venues more east. To check out the progress of this high energy band, you can check out www.soulshock.net .

| Review: Mango Pie @ The Arena 1-25-03 |
|
review by Kat
In my search for local hard rock, another visit to The Arena in Highland (Milford Rd. N of M59) resulted in an excellent surprise. Mango Pie gets my vote for best party band of the year so far. An excellent selection
of covers and originals kept the crowd going till well past 2am. This is no small feat for the Arena where the normal crowd of local transients that drift in and out rarely exceeds 20 people at a time. But on Saturday, everyone who wandered in stayed and became riveted like my companion and I. And the drinks were flowing . . .

| Kalamazoo's Unfinished Thought Releases Debut |
|
thoughtmusic writes Kalamazoo-based ethereal rock duo Unfinished Thought have completed their first full-length album. "Becoming Aware" is driven by delicate female vocal harmonies and compulsive, heavy guitar playing. With arrangements ranging from full on industrial to orchestrated dark rock, the CD delivers deceptively beautiful musical textures while exploring themes such as mental illness, obsession, addiction, and depression.
You can check it out and get more info at their website - www.unfinishedhtought.com
The CD is available through the website, or at CD Warehouse and Music Express in Kalamazoo.

| Michigan Musician's Database |
|
wiki writes I just thought of a new cool way to help us Michigan musicians and bands in finding a band member or band that could be the right one for us. What I did was create a simple database, almost like a guest book but with more specific questions pertaining to ones musical influences, talents, age, skill level, location, and availability. Imagine the time and money this could save us all. This way you will already know the most important information about the musician before you decide whether or not to contact them. Click "Read More" for details and a link to the database. Click the Pic for ChokingSusan.com website.
