| Now Playing ... Your Band! |
|
Quite some time ago, we posted a request on the
board for music submissions to be used for a music listening system. The
new system is still in the development stage, but looks very promising at this
point. One of the features allows for "playlists" that can be
created by visitors to this site and shared with everyone that drops by.
Click on the Play Tunes link in the Now Playing box on the right to test the
new streaming playlist.
We need your comments, especially if you experience any problems
listening to the music. You will need an mp3 player such as Winamp or
Windows Media player to listen.
Special thanks goes out to all who submitted music for us to
test the new system. Please no new submissions at this time.

| What's your preferred medium for music? |
|
Apple computer has recently launched it's iTunes Music Store on which users are charge $1 per nationally released single song download. The new service is being touted as their answer to internet piracy and overpriced CD's. If Apple's successful, it could mark the beginning of the end of CD's - and physical music mediums altogether. Are you ready to trade-in your album, tapes or CD collections for a one-box-does-it-all, take-it-with-you-everywhere digital music player like the iPod? Or will it be just another electronic gadget taking up space and time in your life? It got us wondering, what is your preferred medium for music? Please take a moment to respond to our latest poll. Use the "Comments?" button below to give more detailed responses.

| Music Review: SBU's Soul Divide demo |
|
Though we are extremely late in reviewing this demo from Strength Beyond U (Their full-length release has been available for some time and they've already had a member shake-up since we recieved it), we pulled in some extra help to get the job done; Trailer Park Barbie's very own Erin Schultz has pitched-in to make sure Mitch doesn't "Simon-ize" another unsuspecting band innocently looking for positive feedback. Click "Read More" for Erin's backlash on Mitch and her review of Lincoln Park's SBU.
