| These Librarians Are Hip to Indie Music |
|
Submitted by Christine Ayar,
You'd love to have more people hear your music. You're trying to reach a broader audience. You want to advertise, but don't have a lot of cash. Sound familiar?
The Salem-South Lyon District Library is reaching out to area musicians. The library is building a Local Artists Music Collection and is asking musicians in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Ontario to join.
Bands are asked to donate their CDs as well as promotional items to the library. In return, the library will make the items available for patrons to check out. A new musician will be highlighted each week and a concert series is being discussed.

ScottLofMFPS writes
Hi Guys and Gals ... Scott L of MFPS here. Just dropping a line here to let you guys know about the new show I'm producing for the Pioneer Radio Network called Cyberstomp Radio. It is a 2 hour show on Thursday nights from 7-9 PM featuring some of the heaviest music from the past, present, and who is up and coming. News, reviews, you name it, is gonna' happen on the program also. I would also like to start featuring a local band from around the Detroit area every week. I hate to be narrow minded, but let's try to make it metal/hardcore/heavier bands if you wanna be featured on the show. It is a metal show, you know? If you are interested in being on the show e-mail me at scottl@teammfps.com and we will take it from there. So, be sure to listen in on Thursday nights from 7-9 on The Pioneer Radio Network

Reviewed by Severina,
I just got my
Garden of Souls CD on Friday. It was perfect timing as I was just sliding into the car for a fairly long and boring drive to North Carolina so I popped it in...cranked it up and let me tell ya, it impressed the pants off of me!
