The Elbow Room in Ypsilanti will be the setting for the first "Ypsifest," a two day festival featuring 20 Bands all from Michigan! This show is 18/over and benefits the Michigan Bull Terrier Rescue Shelter in Ypsilanti, MI. The MBTRS saves the lives of dogs that would otherwise be put to sleep by the Humane Society because of the fact that they are so called "undesirable breeds" such as Pitt Bulls, Rottweilers and other such breeds.
Ypsifest is a celebration of the local music community featuring live performances by Inside Five Minutes, Few and Far Between, Ettison Clio, Leaving Rouge,
Charelvoix, Whiskey Tenor, Rome for a Day, Lisboa and many more...

| Robb Roy to release fourth CD |

According their latest newsletter, Robb Roy's fourth CD, "Days of Pride & Hunger" will be released on October 21st, 2003 with a party scheduled for 5th Avenue Downtown on Sat. Oct 25th. The new CD will include 14 songs written over the past two years and chronicles the ups and downs the band has experienced on their long rock & roll odyssey. "The new songs are very autobiographical and sum up our journey so far," said singer Graham Strachan in an online diary entry. "For that reason this is my favorite CD so far..." In the past three years I’ve brought home a lot of local CD’s. I play them while I do the dishes, while my daughter does her homework and while my wife cleans up after the both of us. Whenever I leave the house, I make sure to bring one along so I can get acquainted with a disc before I do a review. Since I’m terminally disorganized, CD’s end up all over the damn place; in the living room, in my office, in my truck and even in my wife’s car. Eventually (and thanks to her indulgence) they find their way back to my office desk in a heaping pile.
Except for one, that is . . .
