| Deuling Pianos Added To Band Link Specialties |
About ten years ago I helped a friend move out to Phoenix and we went clubbing one night - at the mall. That's right; the mall in Phoenix had three or four night clubs located side-by-side-by-side on the second floor. You could walk from one club to the next through an opening in the wall on the far side of each bar. The odd thing was, once you stepped from one club to the next, you were immersed in the music of the club you were in and could no longer hear the music of the one you left. Well, once we had our fill of techno & rock, we ended up at a club with deuling piano players. It was, surprisingly, very entertaining. Back then it was a new phenom but now they're everywhere. But as our latest submission in the newly created Cover Bands / Specialties / Dueling Pianos sub-category warns, not all deuling piano shows are created equal.

| Lorio-Ross Sterling Entertainment Adds Four Premier Wedding Bands |
Somebody from Lorio-Ross Sterling Entertainment, a premier Midwest talent agency based in Royal Oak, dropped by to submit four of their first-class musical acts to our band-links section - and there's a lot more where those came from. The agency specializes in handling corporate events and special productions as well as representing bands who perform weddings, civic events, society fundraisers and more. Michiganbands.com welcomes Skyline & The Backstreet Horns, The Jerry Ross Band, NewsMaker and Joyride to our Band Links / Specialties / Wedding Bands section. If you hire one of these great bands for your special day, tell 'em who sent ya, ok? Maybe they'll throw us a bone.

| Review: Radiocraft, Dave Hamilton Band, John Waite @ Hayloft 6/20/09 |
We dropped by The Hayloft on Saturday, June 20th to catch Radiocraft, The Dave Hamilton Band and John Waite (of Babys and Bad English fame).
It was good to get out of the cave and mix it up again. Much drinking and merriment ensued - at least for me and Distortion Dave; my wife played designated driver (thanks honey).
What follows is a blow by blow, at least as my failing memory recalls.

| Jealousy Inspires Action: Ryan Knott Commits To 12-Song Solo Release |
Inspired by the latest release from Grand Rapids experimental band Paucity and motivated by a period of writer's block, former Satin Jones guitarist and vocalist Ryan Knott has committed himself publicly to releasing a solo record by late 2010. But breaking writer's block can be a daunting task. To shake things up a bit, Knott chucked everything he knows about writing songs in favor of something a bit more ... prophetic.

| This is definately different for Eddie Leighton |
hyflash writes Well, with everyone losing their jobs in Detroit, I thought I would experiment on a tune about being unemployed I call this song, "I'm Broke up". I started out the song using a electronic drum synth, and building it up from there. When I finished recording all of the tracks, I sat back and listened to it, to feel the vibe of what it brings to me. I started thinking it sounded like a Kid Rock song, or something in that area. I have never wrote a song like this one before. It is a kind of, Rock Rap song. it definately has a funky groove to it, with a powerful message on how, and why, we are in the economical mess we are in today.
