| FUL-FAC-SHUN DEMO RELEASE! |
optera writes Theres a new metal band in town and it aint pretty. Ful-Fac-Shun is set to rip up the Detroit scene by getting their grimey little hands on every gig they can armed with a four-song debut EP/demo (free at every FFS show). It was recorded by none other than Bill Wyte @ One Eye Blind Studios (he's the drummer from Abandon for those who dont know). If you do get a demo keep your ears out for a hidden track that can't be found online. I think eveyone will enjoy it. Click "Read More" for links and more info.

| THE DISH w/ Big sexy 3/14/04 |
bigsexysoundman writes I would like to start out by congratulating everyone at Michiganbands.com on the sucess of Frog-a-Palooza. I personally (regrettably) could not attend due to a family emergency. All is well on that front. I kept in touch with some of the bands that played and they all said it went very well and the turnout was great. I guarantee I will not miss next year shows.
Now here's what's been going on in the last few weeks ...

| Many, Many BIG THANKS to . . . |
First, Michiganbands.com would like to give Big Thanks to All The Bands who drove from all over the state to perform at Frogapalooza, did it all on time (without any bitching) and treated everybody with respect and graciousness. We are humbled by your support, your professionalism and your endless well of talent. Special Thanks to Space Nelson, Sonic Disturbance, Radiocraft, 83rd Dream and The All Stars (yes, I said The All Stars) for donating cash and goodies to the cause. • Big Thanks and Big Hugs to Fish and Molly for being there to support us in our time of need (Fish, I would be buried in a laundry pile of MB T-Shirts if it wasn't for your merch-table genius! And Molly, thanks for working with what we had!). • Big Thanks to Brad @ Bullfrog for being such an attentive host (we were never in need of anything). Big thanks to the Bullfrog Security and Wait Staff who made sure everyone was safe and happy. • Big Thanks to Soundman Mike for making all the bands sound their best and doing it all with a nod and a smile (there were many compliments from the musicians). Big Thanks To Guitar Center (Canton) for donating a drum-set for the bands to use. You made our lives and set-up so much easier and more efficient! Finally, Big Thanks To Everyone Who Attended Frogapalooza and to everyone else who made this 3-day, 27 band marathon possible and successful. We hope we didn't forget anyone (it's been a very long weekend) but if we did we give thanks to you too!
- Mitch and Webmaster Rick

| There's Still Time To Show Your Support - and dig the music! |
It's already been a long, but music-saturated weekend for Webmaster Rick and I, but the bands keep coming and you still have an opportunity to show your support (Sunday, March 14th) and enjoy a full day's worth of entertainment for only $6. Starting at 2 p.m. we have Backhand, a young group from the Flint area. At 3 pm it's Sonic Disturbance, a one-man electronic act who dropped off a stack of free EP's for the crowd last night. At 4:30 we have Sarah Brosch, (formerly of "Reagan?") who's been busy working her solo act on the coffee-house circuit. For the dinner hour we have Laura Wilke, a country artist whose been recording in Nashville. And from our state's capitol in Lansing, we have JIVA (which is a sanskrit word for "the living soul") at 7:30. Coming all the way down from their weekend gig in Traverse City, Maybe August will be taking over the stage at 9 O'Clock. Finally, Soul Driven Dan and his crew will be setting the Redford straight with some hard stuff and Busy Signal will be taking us home - where we'll sleep for a week! Check out these bands online by visiting our Line-Up page and we'll see ya there, right?

| Last & Frequency 54 to Provide the Pounding |
Don't think we've forgot about you hard rock and metal fans out there. Sure, Frogapalooza is going to start out with some soul, power-pop and MOR rock, but it will be the heavy hitters taking us all the way to hotel-motel time tonight (Friday, March 12th). Last and Frequency 54 respectively will be pounding down the walls of the Bullfrog into the wee hours of morning. So take your ibuprofen and get out your neck brace, folks - there's gonna be some head-bangin' tonight!!

| Don't Miss Robb Roy tonight @ Frogapalooza |
Don't miss a rare performance by Robb Roy at The Bullfrog tonight for the kick-off to Frogapalooza. If all goes as planned, they'll be taking to the stage around nine-ish tonight (Friday, March 12th). The Dearborn-based quartet doesn't make it to Redford very often so this should be a special treat for everyone from the area.
