The Kingsnakes CD release party for their debut CD “Supernatural Disaster” will be held on Friday, April 9 at The Magic Stick, 4140 Woodward Ave, in Detroit. Opening acts for the band will be The Muggs and Long Black Sedan.
PROJECT: UNREALITY, Abandon's brand new five-song EP, was recorded at ONE EYE BLIND STUDIO in late February and was completed in just 3 weeks. The disc features 5 hard hitting, melodic songs showcasing the bands unique sound. With dates lined up into the early summer, Abandon will focus on writing new songs with plans to record and release a full length CD sometime late summer or early fall. Riot in Progress guitarist John Thibert announced his engagement to Drummer Kelly Overaitis of Woodovermars last weekend on the St. Clair boardwalk. The couple are to tie the knot in August of 2005. On behalf of MichiganBands.com and our network of supportive musicians we'd like to wish the happy couple a long, healthy and musical life together.
Sure, we went on and on about Frogapalooza before and even during the event. Yeah, yeah, three days, twenty-something bands, yada, yada, yada. I bet you thought we were all done with that, didn't you? Well you're wrong! We can't help but continue to glorify the good nature, good music and good faith support of our participating bands. So I'm doing what I can to tap it all out for you before work, during lunch, after work and whenever my wife and daughter allow me five minutes to continue where I left off (bless their hearts). This Saturday, March 27th, Oblivion will be headlining a benefit for WHFR FM 89.3, the radio station of Henry Ford Community College. The show will take place at The Bullfrog (Telegraph @ 5 Mile), and Super Model-T will also be playing as well as the band Hinged. Bootleg started in late August of 2003 five guys wanting to go out and have fun doing what they do best. Five guys with five different musical backgrounds put together some great music, covering songs from early 60s to present and doing it there own style. Now the band has had a few gigs and they are really turning some heads. They've also started writing their own material and its gonna knock your socks off!!!
