Belmont Need Bands For Leukemia/Lymphoma Show
Hey all, Darren Grow, owner of the Belmont in Hamtramck here. My brother recently asked me to help raise funds for the leukemia/lymphoma society for their anual fundraiser. He is participating in a triathalon and has asked me to do a benefit show. I was hoping to have a fundraiser Fri. April 9. I know this is short notice but I just got the request myself. I am wondering if any bands would be interested in playing for drinks that night. All door proceeds and 10% of my sales will be donated to the leukemia/lymphoma society. If any of you have that night free and want to play for a good cause please get back to me at this address or better yet at Dtgrow@aol.com. Thanks a bunch - Darren Grow

 A, B, C, or D. None of the Above
Hell, Michigan's None Of The Above released a brand new two track single on 2/17. The title track, "Godsend", is ass kicking hard rock that shows the more radio friendly side of the band, while the B side is heavier material suitable for specialty programs. The material was recorded at Sonic Landscapes Recording Studios, downtown Jackson MI in sessions last fall and is part of a batch of tracks from which the group will complie for an album release later this year.  Cobalt Party Revolution Saves The Day - on Video!
Not only did they prevent MB Mitch from slipping into a deep depression early Saturday at Frogapalooza (he's a bit sensitive), but hip-hop saviours Cobalt Party Revolution captured the best moments of that mood-saving performance on video! Members Cashtill, KiddIckarus and McAction reminded everyone in the room with their lively and sometimes jocular performance that first and foremost, music should be fun and make you feel good. They earned some new fans that night. Click "Read More" for the appropriate links.

Note: (correction: apparently MCAction has retired from CPR. We should have given props to BMast.

Space Nelson: Making New Fans More Fun
Progressive rockers Space Nelson have discovered that literally making new fans is much more fun and much easier than attracting new fans with odd time signatures, complex arrangements and involved themes. Singer Jon Piasentin and Drummer Eric "Fish" Fischer took the initiative in implementing the new strategy in 2003 and it's finally paying off. Jon's wife gave birth to Jack Piasentin on Feb 16th, 2004 and Eric's wife gave birth to Lily Fischer on March 6th! Inspired by their success, keyboardist Pete Hopersberger has announced that his wife is due to deliver a new SN fan in July of 2004! (Note: picture not an actual SN fan)
