midgettown writes Follow the small footsteps to the Emerald Theatre on June 3rd for Midget Town's cd release party. Also sharing the venue, is Flint's own renown Frequency54. The timeless sounds of Colic and the hard-hitting Snatchblock will also make this a memorable night. The night will also feature Detroit's biggest secret of all-stars in the debut of a band named Core Effect.

Midget Town's new disc "Contents Under Pressure" has been under wraps and is ready to be unleashed at the show. It was recorded and produced by Kevin Williams (Twin Pigs, Mercury Trigger) at Midwest Studios in Rochester last month. Kevin has become Detroit's own Rick Rubin in recent years. Come out for this 18+ venue to hear Detroit's finest.

Garden of Souls Screaming for new CD
gardenof writes The guys in GOS are putting the finishing touches on their first CD in 3 years and are excited to have it out. There have been a culmination of personnel issues that have affected the release of the CD. Due out in 2003 initially, the death of violinist/multi-instrumentalist Heather Aichele in late 2002 put the band in a tailspin and the two remaining members were forced to put the band back together from scratch. This new CD is a triumph to its members and the first step to a new beginning. Release is currently slated for July 9th.

 Cursed Eternity names new guitarist
XevKai writes 18 year old Matt Trczinski from Howell will be playing lead guitars in the melodic metal band Cursed Eternity.

Their website reports; "It was a hard decision. There were about 10 total guitarists who came out, or responded to the Lead guitarists adds. Everyone who had the balls to come out and tryout gave it their all. Matt was chosen because we felt that he would fit in best with the band. He's a phenomenal guitar player, and he's only 18!" Stated guitarist/vocalist Joe Grode. Matt will start playing live with CE right away. He's scheduled to play at the IROCK show next week, so be sure and come out to welcome him to the CE family!"

-Matt came from the Livingston Underground band Satyrasis
