Michigan Artists Celebration of the Art of Music on December 12th @ 9pm at the Token Lounge in Westland. Hope you can come out and support the Art of Music while raising money for families in need. The door will go 100 % to families in need. We are having live bands, Funtown, Rocket Ride, The Skam with Abraham . Come out and network your music, bring CDs. There will be many different people involved in the music scene. We will be giving resource CDs out to Artists. There will have a raffle to raise money for the needy. Many gifts given every year. Guitars, diamond rings, memory sticks and much more.

When we give our gift to the needy families: The Christmas Gift.

We give our gifts in the name of loved ones no longer with us to keep their memory alive as we miss them. When people receive their gift they thank our loved ones. ( as we do for the time we got to spend with them) First names only given in the cards for the needy. We have a long list of loved ones and are adding every year. Join a host of bands and entertainers at the 28th annual Whaley jam in support of Whaley's Children's Center December 4th (Friday) and 5th (Saturday) at Jester's Lounge in Flint.

Bands start at 6 pm on Friday and 4 pm on Saturday. Admission is just $10.00 each day or the donation of a toy of equal value. In addition there will be 50/50 drawings and auctions both days.

The event will feature 17 bands over the two days with all proceeds going to support the Whaley Foundation.

The Whaley children's Center has been helping children and families in crisis since 1924.

Mike Vial and Audio Artillary will host a benefit for Danielle Barber, a student of Holly High School who was the victim of an auto accident in 2008. 

This student-run show will take place at Holly High School Auditorium on May 30th 2009 at 7pm. Admission is $3 and all ages are welcome.

All proceeds will benefit the Barber family to help defray medical expenses.

The holiday season is now upon us and once again Static Presents, "Home for the Holidaze” the 6th annual singer-songwriter music showcase and charity drive for area homeless shelters. The event takes place on December 19th 2008 at the Corktown Tavern and brings together local singer-songwriters and former Detroit musicians who are home for the holiday season. It is a chance for them to perform for a good cause as the proceeds from the event will go towards food donations to area homeless shelters. The day after the show is spent at Costco buying cases of soup and various canned food with the proceeds. The food is then distribut ed to soup kitchens and food pantries in the downtown Detroit area. Pet food donations are also collected each year as well.

The Dawg House in Clinton Twp. is Rocking For Tots today in a gi-normous show that will go on all day (Sunday, 12/7/08), starting at 1p.m.  The show will benefit local Toys For Tots charity and feature over thirty musial acts including Whitey Morgan, Jody Raffoul, Soul Circus, Rachel May of Broadzilla, Flophouse, Ty Stone, Don "Doop" Duprie, Robin Horlock, Jocaine and many, many more. 

The show will also features "Lunch With Santa" from noon to 2 p.m. , a $1000 cash prize raffle, raffle baskets and a silent auction.  Bring a new, unwrapped toy or $5 to the door.  All ages, kids under 12 are free and will receive a free gift from Santa while supplies last.

"The Christmas Gift" is the tenth anual Michigan Artists holiday party.  This year we want to help families in need and dedicate the gifts in the name of those who are no longer with us to help keep their memory alive.  With the economy in the state it's in, there will be many families in need of help over the holidays so we all need to reach out and help people survive the winter in Michigan.  We hope you will join us at the Token Lounge in Westland on December 20th at 9pm with special guest The Muggs, Hamonica Shah, Scott Austin and Mike Smith.  We will be giving gifts to artists too. The Hot Elf's will be present to cheer the audience and give gifts. Please come out and help us raise money for those in need.

Strap on your dancing shoes for the Sixth Annual Jingle Bell Jam, December 6^th, at the Manistee Eagles Aerie 1675, 55 Division St. in Manistee. Doors open at 6 and the live entertainment starts at 7:00. Four local acts will rock the halls in coordination with the Holiday Hope Team, FiveCap, WMTE, and others. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Toys for Tots / Gifts for Teens program in Manistee County. Admission to the concert is one new, unwrapped toy or cash donation. All ages are welcome. The Eagles are providing food, snacks, and a cash bar for the over-21 guests.
