I'm sure the former commander of N.O.R.A.D. is just swamped with fan-mail, groupies and paparrazi. What's a former high-level bureaucrat with Defense Industry ties to do? I've got three words for him: Private Party Mother-*****.
What rich people do and who they invite into their own multi-million dollar fenced-in private properties is their own business. Not even I can complain about that. But when the exclusion is so conspicuous, as it is in Country Clubs, I get a bit hostile.
To me classism is as offensive as racism or sexism. Would you play a neo-nazi gig for three times the pay Rick? How 'bout a white men's only club Grace? We've been conditioned to believe that the rich deserve special priveleges because they are supposed to be the living proof of capitalistic superiority. But, finally, that myth is showing it's threads again.
Economic exclusion is still exclusion. I get upset anytime somebody thinks they're "The Chosen Ones" whether it be based on money, color or gender. But who am I? Based upon capitalist criteria - nobody important; just another envious rascal with a chip on his shoulder and a big mouth. If they could, you'd better bet some of the Country Clubbers would have my free=speech rights rescinded.
