Re: Review of Space Nelson's Evil Computer From The Future (Score: 1) by Mitch on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 @ 00:11:29 EDT (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.michiganbands.com | | I dig what your sayin' Pinwheel. The PROG label's just become convenient for anything that's a bit off the over-beaten path. As I said, their sound leans more toward the North American bands like Dream Theatre & Saga but I should have also mentioned hit-machine bands like Journey and Toto, bands you wouldn't normally think of as progressive but composed of top-tier studio musicians who weren't afraid of challenging & complicated arrangements. But I do still hear some elements of YES &ELP in there, even if it's just a keyboard patch or guitar sound. |
