Re: Has Commercial Radio Finally Gone Limp? (Score: 1) by Mitch on Monday, October 10, 2005 @ 18:51:33 EDT (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.michiganbands.com | I know radio's been limp for years, I just couldn't ignore the dick joke, what with the Viagra and all.
I stopped listening to commercial radio ten years ago and became a NPR listener and member because I couldn't take the repetition and the commercials. I also listen to a local high-school station that's really great - WOVI from Novi High School. But the biggest change in my own listening habits is definitely from the iPod. Thank God for my iPod. |

Re: Has Commercial Radio Finally Gone Limp? (Score: 0) by Anonymous on Monday, October 10, 2005 @ 19:57:32 EDT | | stopped listening to commercial radio a long time ago.... now days I go with what sounds good to my ears (i-what? don't even own an ipod). I will give anything a listen atleast once either by downloading from bands sites or trading cd's with other artists and spreading the word around about each others music. Lots of great talent out there, but the talent doesn't have the $$$$ to back them to really get out there which is sad... the industry in general has gone to hell and its either DIY or bust... |
