Detroit’s leading folk songstress, Audra Kubat will perform a very special concert at the Detroit Institute of Arts on Sunday, April 4 at 2pm in the Kresge Court. This is her first performance at the local historical institution, located at 5200 Woodward Avenue in the cultural center. The 90 minute concert is free with DIA admission of $4. The two song record also features a new song, “Fell in Love with the Music”. This will be a limited edition clear vinyl release only, for fans and music afficianados. The night will commence with an Afterglow Dance Party and rare electric performance from Kubat with special guest Danny Dollrod at another location- The Garden Bowl, inside the Majestic Theater complex at 4140 Woodward in the cultural center, just five blocks south of the DIA.(313-833-9700). The11pmperformance will be followed by a dance party with deejays; Johnny Hentch, DJ Hawk(Waxwings), Dave & Dion(Young Soul Rebels) and Freddie Fortune spinning tunes from yesterday and today. Admission to this event is also free.
