Welcome to another edition of 'The DISH'. I'd like to start by thanking everyone out there for the positive feedback on my articles and especially Mitch and everyone @ 'MichiganBands' for all your support.
Now let's get started. Last Sunday the 15th I got to mix Midget Town @ The Bullfrog. Their front man, Randy, former bassist with 'Cell 85' is really coming into his own. I think this project being his first stab @ following his own vision has a lot of potential. The music is very deep and especially the lyrics, they are definitely the focal point as they should be. Thursday the 20th I was at the 'EMERALD THEATRE' for the benifit for Sabrina Black, wife of Steve black now w/ WRIF. Over $20,000 was raised for the cause. All the bands sounded great. I mixed 'KOYL' and 'Ray Street Park' and of course 'Sponge' was steady as always. Thanks to everyone who came out.

Friday the 20th I hung out for awhile at the 'I ROCK' nite club. As most of you know me and Ted have been the house sound engineers and dj's for almost 15 years. And yes Steve is doing good too. The headline national 'Dog Fasion Disco ' cancelled and didn't bother to call and let Steve know. They left it up to 'Downtown Brown' one of the support acts. I guess they broke up like 2 days before the show, very unprofessional in my opinion and doesn't show much respect for the Detroit fans. One more tid-bit about the show - The other support act 'Girl Scout Hand Grenade'. I'm not a huge death-metal fan, but they had a chick singer and well, they should take some lessons from 'Arch Angel' who's female singer is ungodly to say the least - one of the best I've ever heard and the melody slash hardcore mix was right on.

So I leave the 'I Rock' and head to the 'Hayloft',where I got to checkout 'Break Point',who's really taking it to the next level. And 'SWB', who's soulful blues rock is really refreshing and well done.

Got to talking with Mgr Mike from 'Critical Bill' they have a big show saturday the 28th with 'Killin the Norm' and JoCaine & 75 North band' at the Hayloft. And stay tuned for a dish on their show May 6th at the Emerald it will be the biggest stage show they have ever done. And wait until you see the line up! But you'll have to wait for a future edition of 'THE DISH for that info. See ya next week, peace out.
