For the event, Audra chose a venue that is as unique as the singer herself, The Players Club. This historic playhouse was founded in 1910 and built in the style of 16th century English Renaissance. It is the perfect venue in which to showcase her acoustic music. The Players Club is located at 3321 E. Jefferson (map) in Detroit (313-259-3385). The eclectic duo Terror at the Opera will be opening the show with their accordion cabaret.

Audra Kubat is one of Detroit's most versatile performers. The singer-songwriter has made a name for herself in the folk scene and rock scene alike. From her musical beginnings as a solo performer hosting open mic nights, to her fronting the rock band Stunning Amazon, Audra has come along way in establishing herself and her music. Her first album, "Elixir" received national attention in Performing Songwriter Magazine. Her second release "Untitled for Now", also garnered positive reviews and airplay. An award for "Outstanding Folk Artist" in the 2001 Detroit Music Awards solidified Audra's presence in the folk scene.

The new CD "Million Year Old Sand" is the latest journey in her musical evolution. It was recorded and produced as a cooperative effort between Audra and Eric Hoegemeyer of the band Gold Cash Gold. The melodic acoustic music will appeal to rock and folk music fans. The CD will be available for the first time at the concert and at local independent music retailers.
