Okay folks, so you’ve got yourself a band. You’ve got a website, a band image, some original tunes and even a couple gigs to start the ball rolling to super stardom. You’re all set, right?

Well, what about pictures?

Probably one of the things that most bands never think about, a good picture will tell the audience who the band is and what they do even before they check out a lo-fi mp3, as confirmed by a recent thread posted on this site. But whom can you trust to give you the pictures you need? Five words: Hot Rock Shots dot Com, where the Siren of the Shutter, Molly Flannery, showcases her work.

The website reads almost like a “Who’s Who” of local musicians from MichiganBands.com, as well as a bunch of bands you might not be familiar with. Upon viewing, it’s clear that Molly is the woman for the job; every picture is a phenomenal moment in mid-song, captured for posterity. Molly’s eye for great angles for band shots as well as single close-ups really make the site almost seem like heroin for your eyes; you just can’t stop checking out pictures (Of course, a shot of the sexy Funkgoddess straddling a motorcycle doesn’t hurt either…!).

So, now that you’re convinced of the power of the photo, what next? Contact Molly and set something up. You’ll definitely be glad you did.
