In what has been called the most daring move ever made since the Louisiana Purchase, Immigrant Blue announced the beginning of their summer music schedule. When interviewed for comment, Michiganbands.com's very own IBmonkey said "The who's doing the what now?" Click "Read More" below.
Starting on Saturday, May 17, Immigrant Blue will be rocking the metropolis of Sturgis, MI at the Gateway Festival. Returning for their second year to the festival, drummer Dave Perry says "Sturgis is Immigrant Blue country pal!"
Next, on Wednesday, May 21, IB rolls the party wagon into their very own Club Soda, in Kalamazoo to open for national act, Drums & Tuba. Touted by guitarist Chris Frankhauser, the meeting of these two bands "will be as complimentary as bacon and fudge."
THEN, ON FRIDAY, MAY 23, IMMIGRANT BLUE WILL FINALLY...YES FINALLY...BE ON THE EAST SIDE in the suburbia of Wyandotte at the LeJive Music Cafe. What mayhem will ensue when IBmonkey finally comes to the east side? Well, you'll have to come out and see, won't you.
And finally, on Saturday, June 14, Immigrant Blue heads back to the 'zoo and Club Soda. So that's it. Come out, hear some great music, meet some cool people (and our drummer too...!), buy some CDs to fund our Faberge Egg habit, etc..
