The Buck Brothers-the U.K.s latest rock exports will play a special Detroit show on Wednesday, March 19 @ The Lager House as part of their first proper U.S. tour and appearance at the SXSW music festival. The spirited trio has been making a name for themselves this past year in Europe and North America with their infectious brand of pop-punk rock n’ roll music that has found fans in the likes of Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame and infamous KROQ DJ Rodney Bigenheimer. To promote their debut album “me,” The Buck Brothers set out to break the world record entry for “the highest number of gigs performed in 12 hours.” Click "read more" below.
They achieved the title in the Guinness Book of World Records after performing 28 shows within that time period in their native London. They add this prestigious title to their growing collection of awards for “Best International Artist” from various music festivals across the globe.
With the success of the album finding itself on CMJs’ Top 200 chart and the single “Girls, Skirts, Boots, Bikes” becoming the most requested song on the “Rodney on the Roq” KROQ radio show hosted by Rodney Bigenheimer, “me” continues to make raves and find faves in just about anyone who hears it. The Buck Brothers are also known for their highly energetic live shows that will have you dancing in your seats.
Opening the show is Detroit’s own indie popstars Apartment 4. The fearless foursomes’ catchy tunes will make for a great night of music this hump day. Myspace.com/apartment4
