Way back in 1988 a pair of young Kiss fans from Ontonagon, Mi (way up dere in da western U.P., eh) would find musical communion during a stay at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base for the U.P. Winter Olympics. Exactly one year later, and at that very same location, the pair would join two other budding musicians to perform in front of a thousand people as the hard rock band NightStrike. Over the next eight years they would release three full-length albums ("Street Justice", "NightStrike" and "Road To Nowhere") of hometown rock until family life and work would scatter the band members throughout the state. But a chance encounter and impromptu set at Stubb's Bar on Labor Day 2004 brought the band back to life. So inspired by their fan's enthusiasm they decided to record a fourth NightStike album called, "One Hit To The Heart" and proceeded with the "One Hit Tour" in 2006/07, concluding with a homecoming show at the Ontonagan Theatre. That show was recorded and released as their first live DVD, "Coming Home Alive". Michiganbands.com would like to welcome NightStrike to our band links section in the Original Artists / Hard Rock Category.
