It's been years now since we closed the forums - which was probably not the smartest thing to do in the age of "social networking". But they sucked a lot of time and energy due to abuse, spammers, malcontents, etc.. We didn't have the time to babysit bandheads to make sure they treated one another with courtesy and respect. It's that lack of trust and solidarity, I'm convinced, that has led our country, and this website, to the sorry state they are in today. But there are a few true believers out there who, despite their better interest, continue to fight the good fight for local music. One of those people, Jeff (Wiki) of MichiganMusicians.com, has volunteered to do what we refuse to do - moderate the forums. There's a few bugs to work out yet, but watch for their return. - Mitch
