I don’t know how or why I get sucked into writing show reviews, maybe it just helps me re-live the night. Anyway, here's a show review of Dhark Stahr, Perfect Summer & Kairos at The Locker Room on Saturday, July 22nd. Click "read more" below for the review and links.

Kairos on tour from Pittsburgh PA. opens the show with 2 Guys on Guitar, A Guy on the Drums and a Lady Playing the Bass. Not that being a Lady on Bass matters, but seeing a Lady play a 5 String Bass and use all 4 Fingers on the Fret-Board is pretty Rare. Kairos used a standard Lineup – Lead Singer on Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass and Drums no Back-Up Vocals, that I can remember that is…
So, Kairos was cool in a Brooding Drop D Cold Play meets Fuel kind of way. Heavy Tunes, Deep Lyrics, and Ebb and Flow / Verse Chorus Songs. They are Loud and the Quiet and then Loud Again, all in 4 or 5 minutes. Kairos puts on a pretty powerful show.

Up next Perfect Summer
They are 2 Ladies on Keyboards and Vocals and A Guy Playing the Violin. Perfect Summer is cool in a Brooding ABBA meets Ladytron, Dark Retro Pop kind of way.
The songs are Bouncy, the Melodies are Lush and the Lyrics are Bittersweet. Dance, laugh, cry, have a drink and forget about that breakup all in one set. Perfect Summer had prepared some video to go with their set, but could not show it due to technical difficulties, but the still delivered a fine set.

So last but not least
Dhark Stahr
So because I play Guitar in Dhark Stahr I have to stay as neutral as possible:
Dhark Stahr is The Impaler on Vocals and Sonic Disturbance on Guitar (instead of Keys) and Back Tracks. Feedback from the crowd, most people said we came of like Hendrix meets Nine Inch Nails. Yes I have let loose more on Guitar since we recorded our demo Live a Scalici’s, but I say how about a Half-Ass Ace Frehley meets Nine Inch Nails. Any way, I appreciated the compliments. So lets say Dhark Stahr is cool in a Dark Brooding Kiss meets Nine Inch Nails kind of way.
