The KLQ Heavyweight Championship started Friday, January 13th with a bang. Five area bands competed for a chance at the Finals, which of course means a huge cash prize and the title of The Heaviest Band in Grand Rapids! The lineup for the night was Rise, Drawn in Blood, Harvyst, Through the Mist, and Staleface. Each band played great and rocked the 600 people that attended the show at the Intersection. At the end of the night the smoke cleared and Through the Mist was declared the winner. Five more winners will be crowned on the next five Fridays to see who will bring home the bacon on March 3rd!
