The new Flipping The Pig album, Pout, was released on January 2, 2006. There are three MP3s available on the band's website (www.flippingthepig.com): the melancholy piano-based "Break," the dreamy acoustic pop of "Don't Dry Your Eyes," and the stripped-down power chord rant of the much-louder-than-the-other-two-mp3s "Pleeeeease." The music is a mix of vaudeville, brooding acoustic numbers, power pop, wry humor, reflection, folk, oddities, art-rock leanings, and whatever else this one-man-band feels like creating. He's stone-cold sober, but you’d swear he was drunk at least some of the time.
