Michiganbands.com would like to welcome Bad Canon as the latest addition to our long, long list of local band links. Why? Because I really need a distraction right now and besides, BC had the very good taste to link back to us on their website before ever joining this fray. Thanks!
Now, all you musical geniuses out there know that a "canon", despite common knowledge, is not a large phallus that hurls iron balls, but rather....

....a canon, in musical terms, is a piece of music that imitates a melody at fixed intervals in time. "Row Row Row Your Boat", where another singer starts the melody just after the first one gets going, is a special kind of canon called a "round". But we're not concerned with melodies, rounds or boats here, just the "imitation" part.

Now, if a canon is an imitation, a Bad Canon is what? Right. "But a bad imitation of what?" you might ask.

Well, here's another clue for you all. The walrus was Saul....no, no, forget I said that. I don't even want to get into the theological implications of "The Canon" or Canon law or, well, back to the clue.

"A bad imitation of what?" you might ask.

Well, what do you get when an experienced, male guitarist hooks up with an inexperienced female drummer and calls themselves a band?

You tell us - after you listen to the all three of their downloadable songs at BadCanon.com.

Convoluted interpretations aside, this is a formula that still holds some fascination. - Mitch
