Rising from the well-trodden ashes of 83rd Dream, drummer Jimmy Irimescu and his extremely devoted and driven manager/wife, Rachel (a.k.a. Detroit Cat), have joined forces with vocalist Anne Raona, bassist Troy Barth and guitarist David Hopkins to forge Liquid Motor Commission, and forge ahead with another no-nonsense rock band of true believers. Click "Read More" for the linkities.

Already the troupe are hard at work peddling their five-song, self-titled EP in all the usual places, including their recent gigs at The Emerald, The Belmont, The Hayloft, Small's, and of course that bastion of Blue-Ribbon and bar-flies, The New Way.

You can download two of their songs at Liquidmotorcommission.com/.

Better yet, get a dose of the real thing at The New Way Bar on Saturday, May 28th with Mixxle Plixx. It's only rock & roll, so get plastered and behave badly. - Mitch
