| It's an Outright Country Resurgence |
|
by: Larry Garcia - DetroitCountryMusic.com
It's been a wild March for the Country Music community here in the Detroit Area. FOUR area bars have decided to switch format to either part time or FULL time Country Music, making it the biggest growth spurt for western twang in several years.
Warren's Hot Rock on Hoover road will see the Rock & Roll signs come down
on March 13th to make way for it's new persona as "The Rhinestone Cowboy". The club which has it's roots in Country Music as the Hoover Roadhouse has maintained it's country line dancing for nearly 15 years. Now going full time for the cowboy hats and spurs the bar will feature live music weekly and is looking to promote some regional and national shows in the impressive venue. Lots of new interior features and new carpet will help to change the image of the bar from it's hard core rock roots. Bands of DetroitCountryMusic.com
will provide the entertainment.

Check out MaLanna's soon to be released CD "Blood & Spirit". A new alternative music. She writes and sings about her real
life! MaLanna's influences range from Evanescence, Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox, and Sarah McLachlan. Also, MaLanna is writing a book about her life story and pursuing the art of drums. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee five years ago. Terry Lee Bolton has been recording and producing her new
CD. Her favorite quote is, "It usually comes down to who wins the battle that rages between the two of you. The 'you' who wants to take it easy and the 'you' who chooses to beat back what stands in the way of success- complacency!"
