 Survey Says: Nothin' Means Nothin'
As it turns out in our latest survey, failing success in the music business, only about 1.5 percent of you will adapt and pursue another venue to achieve fame and fortune. About 3 percent say you will burn out on drugs and alcohol and about the same number will either become politicians, or do the more honorable thing and kill themselves (in which case we hope they're kidding). Click "read more" below for more fascinating statistics.

Music Review: Trashed In Detroit by Mutha
Every once in a while we pluck a review from our submissions and put it up here on the front page. We don't get nearly enough reviews of rap and hip hop around here (you'd think we only listen to rock) so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to feature one. So let me introduce Isabelle Esling, a blogger from France (see correction below) who submitted a review of "Trashed in Detroit" by Mutha. Click "read more" below for the review.

Note: Correction: Isabelle Esling is from Metz, France, not Detroit, MI as previously stated. You can read her take on the recent riots by clicking here or visit TheEminemBlog.com to read about her passion for Eminem and Detroit hip-hop culture.

We Lost Another One! Ty Stone Signs with Top Dog Records
Well, It's official. We've lost another local favorite indie act to a major label! According to a recent e-mail, our our very own (ok, maybe that's going a bit far) Ty Stone has been picked up by Kid Rock's Top Dog Records and will celebrate his good fortune at 5th Avenue Downtown on Thursday, December 15th. If you recall, Ty kept us informed here at Michiganbands.com back when he was getting famous the old-fashioned way - gigging his ass off on the road and in Los Angeles. Click "read more" below.

 Jackie Blue Needs A Drummer
jackieblue writes Jackie Blue is looking for a new full time drummer in the metro Detroit area. We're a rock band with a funk groove and a female lead singer that sounds like Grace Slick. After two CD's we've just started writing for our third.

If you have know how to groove, are interested in playing shows throughout the midwest (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, New York), can rehearse twice a week, and are reliable, please check out our website for song samples and additional information: JackieBlue.com
