 Valentine's Day will never be the same. The "Erotic Poetry & Music Festival" is coming to Alvin's on February 14th, 2004. Now in its seventeenth year, this unique and decadent celebration is one of the longest running festivals in Detroit. The show features live music, hot poetry and erotic art to complete the assault on your senses. In addition to yearly favorites, this year's event will include time for an “open mic” so audience members can surprise and delight the crowd with their own kinky inventions. THE TIME: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (VALENTINE’S DAY), 8 pm, 18 &over are welcome.
THE COST: Admission is $8. Partial proceeds to benefit the non-profit organization Paws with a Cause, who provide and train leader dogs for the disabled.
THE PLACE: The event will be held at Alvin’s, located at 5756 Cass Avenue (313-831-4577) on the WSU campus, the venue has hosted many of the festivals past and present.
