| M.A.E Presents The Last Band Standing Contest |

mediaqueen writes  Media Artists and Entertainment (M.A.E.) Magazine will be holding a battle-of-the-bands over an 11 week period between June 3rd and running until August 12th 2006. The contest is open to any band in the Metro Detroit area and all styles of music will be accepted. Grand Prize is a studio recording of your band, 1000-CD duplication, web design and a photo session.

CONTEST INFORMATION:
"THE LAST BAND STANDING!" is a Battle-Of-The-Bands, to be held over
an
11 week period:
June 3rd 2006 thru August 12th, 2006
"THE LAST BAND STANDING!" is open to any band in the Metro Detroit
area, with all styles of music accepted!
"THE LAST BAND STANDING!" Grand Prize is a Studio Recording of your
band, 1000-CD duplication, plus other bonuses (see below for details!)
The kick-off event will be on Saturday June 3rd, 2006 at Paychecks
Lounge located in Hamtramck. Full schedule

All shows to begin at 9pm; 18 and over are welcome!
There is a one-time, $10 submission fee per band to enter the
contest.
The judges vote will be based on the following criteria:
Musicianship; Quality of Songs and Performance Level.
Voting will be based on a three point system: popular vote; judges
vote, and M.A.E. Magazine staff vote.
Come out and vote for your favorite band each week! Cover charge each
night is only $5!
Voting will be thru cell phone monitoring, at the event locations,
and
online thru our website: www.maemagazine.com.
PRIZES:
**All Bands to be included on a compilation CD, and to receive 10
copies
per band**
Grand Prize (1): Studio Recording at DVP and 1000-CD duplication;
Band
Web-site Design; Professional Photo session and Promo Stills by Octane
Photographic; Hair n makeup by El Gato Salon.
Runner-Up Prize (1): 10-12 Hour Block of Recording Time at DVP
Studios; Professional Photo Session and Promo Stills by Octane
Photographic; Hair and makeup by El Gato Salon.
3rd n 4th Prizes: Professional Photo Session and Promo stills by

buttons.
SUBMISSION INFORMATION:
Send a recent demo CD; Bio-Photo, and a one sentence description of
your band, along with a non-refundable $10 money order made
payable to M.A.E. Magazine, to: PO Box 180726, Utica, MI. 48318 (or
complete paypal application on website) . Submissions for the contest
will be accepted from Saturday April 1st 06 thru May 15th, 06.
