DEC - Webcaster Alliance Benefit Show Review
sonicdisturbance writes
Hamtramck - There is a war coming. The RIAA is on one side, and Freedom of Musical choice is on the other. So the DEC – (Detroit Electronica Coalition) is spearheading the local fight. Fast Forward to Paychecks where Industrial and Electronica take over the stage... Click "Read More" below for reviews and important links. Up First:
Humachine - A Singer, A Guitarist and Back-Tracks. A solid set of Grinding Guitar and Vocals. In the Vain of NIN-MM.

Second Band:
Entluften -
A Singer, A Keyboard Player, A Guitar Player, Backtracks and A Light Show. A Shorter Set, but a little more on the Dance-able side. The Guitar Droned more that Grinded and The Keyboards are little smoother around the edges. Good Originals and a Bauhaus Cover.

Headliner:
Venereal Injection - A Singer, Keyboard Player, Guitar Player and Bass/Keyboard Player. Louder and Harder than Entluften, Louder and Smoother than Humachine, but not a “Happy” Medium.

The one way to describe the night is to take the Soundtrack from Queen of the Damned out of the Million Dollar Studios and put them on Stage Live at Paychecks. The overall Sound was Fair – Mid’s were lacking and I am sure the Soundman does not get a lot of exposure to this genera, but the intent was there and that is what counts.

So as Musician’s and Music Fans it matters not if your weapon of choice is Guitar or Keyboards, Drums or Drum Machines, Microphones or Mixers, there is a war brewing and we all have to stand and fight.
