Doop & The Inside Outlaws Release

Get ready to hear Americana-Detroit style when Doop & The Inside Outlaws take the stage at their CD release party for their second album “Everett Belcher.” The performance and listening party takes place on Saturday, August 1 at 9pm at the Park Bar. Joining the Outlaws for this show are friends Matt Dmits, and Whitey Morgan and the 78s. To kick off the album release, Doop will perform on the Fox2 News Morning Show on Friday, July 31 at 7am.

Doop & The Inside Outlaws hail from downriver Detroit enclave of River Rouge. A firefighter by day and singer/songwriter by night, Don “Doop” Duprie and his band play a mix of outlaw country and rock n’ roll that comes straight from the soul. The band has steadily made a name for themselves this year, here in the city and beyond. They received three country nominations in the Detroit Music Awards; performed at the Downtown Hoedown; and their debut album, “Blood River,” was named one of the top local records of 2008 by the Metro Times. The album received critical acclaim by numerous radio stations and music websites worldwide.

Doop and the Inside Outlaws recorded the second album, "Everett Belcher," at Ghetto Recorders studio with engineer/producer Jim Diamond at the helm. The album features many of city’s hardest working musicians helping him out including: Eddie Baranek, Bobby Emmett, Dave Shettler, Chris Codish, Whitey Morgan, Pete Ballard, Matt Dmits and Ty Stone. Doop is dedicating the album "to all the hard-working people in this town that spent the better parts of their lives busting their asses only to see it all fall apart."

The Park Bar is located at 2040 Park Ave. in Detroit-(313) 962-2933 18 & over are welcome and cover for this show is $10. The new CD will be available for purchase there for $10.

Another upcoming show is with Nashville’s Ned Van Go and Ben Cyllus on Friday, August 28, 9pm at PJ’s Lager House located at 1254 Michigan Ave. in Corktown (313-961-4668).
