THE DISH w/ Big Sexy 4-3-04
bigsexysoundman writes Hey kids it's time for the good the bad and the ugly. Actually it's all good. Lets start this edition by talking about the Soul Driven WRIF showcase at the Hayloft on 3-27-04.Thanks to Soul Driven DAN and everyone who came out, it was almost a selllout. The lineup was stellar. Of course, I mixed all the bands. My good friends in Midgettown are starting to get some attention. They are really coming into their own. And a band called Hobbs Device, whom I had never caught before was kick ass. Nice to hear some good metal. Then came LAST who have really taken it to the next level. But the nite belonged to Soul Driven, who really sounded great and put on a high energy show.Keep your eyes on those guys. Now for the dish. . . Click "read more" below. Not to sound redundant, but my boys from Critical Bill are about to blow things wide open. They just finished their new cd and it sounds great. Just waiting for the right deal to come along. Psycopathic Records is making a serious push as well as other major labels. Also the release of the movie in which they are in THE BREWSTER PROJECT is premiering in the NYC on 4-26-04 and they want the guys to play at the premier. And on top of that we're playing the following two weekends in New york City also. CBGB'S being the big one.

And lastly Critical Bill was offered the first invite to play the WRIF Harley Fest on june 16.So hold on to your hats it's starting to get interesting. Almost forgot, their cd release show is May 6 at the Emerald. It's going to be a big one.

One more thing before I go. Don't forget about my B-day Bash at the Hayloft on Friday april 23rd. Appearing will be LAST, HMR, MIDGET TOWN and PERSONAL VANDELISM. With a special appearence by Critical Bill. The last set of the nite will be an Allstar jam featuring many of detroit best musicians. The Jagerettes will be their giving stuff away and their will also be door prizes and a guitar autographed by Critical Bill.So be there!

Well thats it see ya soon.PEACE OUT...
