RSPBassPlayer writes  RAY STREET PARK is proud to announce that we've been nominated in the category "Outstanding Live Performance" for the 2004 Detroit Music Awards. It's a tremendous honor for us and we just want to thank all our friends and fans who took the time to push our nomination. Click "Read More" below for more big news. We're also happy to announce that RSP will be opening for SPONGE at the State Theater for Detroit Tiger Opening Day. We'll go on about 10 am and help you get your game face on for the opening of what could be the best baseball season we've seen in Detroit in 15 years.
We've also finally started getting in our personalized Jagermeister merchandise and for every shot sold at Jamie's this past weekend fans recieved a FREE Jager/Ray Street Park shot glass. Look for plenty more Jager swag at upcoming shows and we promise we'll get some more of those killer Jager wife-beater T's that you ladies seem to love SOOOOOOO much! RSP will be hitting the studio the first weekend of April to begin work on a new EP that we hope to have available for all of you by summer. We're also going to be contributing a song to the upcoming NO DEAL RECORDS compilation cd along with a ton of great local bands like SPIDER IN A JAR, CRAZY FLYING GIANTS, CLEAR and many more. Bottom line is the wait won't be long until NEW RSP MUSIC hits the street. Look for it coming soon!
RSP will soon be added to the airwaves at Muskegon Community College. Lake FX radio and their director, Tom Race, have a site up at www.LakeFXradio.com where you can listen to the broadcast anytime. Check it out and let em know you wanna hear more RSP!
One last special note here.......this week, our guitarist Jeff is going thru the "Joey Harrington" procedure on an ongoing heart problem he's been having. If you've got a minute when your head hits the pillow, say a few words to the Big Man for our boy Jeff so he can get back in time to rock out Memphis Smoke next week.
