| Soul Driven Rocks Jimmy's for American Cancer Society |

souldriven writes  Soul Driven will be holding a special benefit at Jimmy's Sports Rock on Saturday October 18th. This show will benefit the American Cancer Society. This is a no cover event. A minumum $1 donation will be requested at the door, but is not required. A second band will be added to the bill and a DJ will be spinning all night. Doors at 8pm. Jimmy's is in Detroit on 8 mile, west of Schoenherr. Please come out and show your support!!!!! *Click "Read More" for an important update to this event.

*(Editor's Note: Soul Driven has changed charitable organizations for this event from the American Children's Cancer Association to the American Cancer Society due to recent findings that the ACCA does not meet CBBB standards for charitable organizations. I would add that supporting families that have a child that is ill is a very noble cause and Soul Driven should be commended for offering their time and energy to that cause. I'd really like to know how much of the money that is raised goes to families and how much goes to pay the two partners $35,000.00 per year salaries.
I'd certainly support the band, but the organization that is putting this on really needs to address this report before they ask for money. |

Because maybe I'm paranoid, but I am always suspicious about these kinds of organizations. It is a good thing that people look deeper in to matters like this though and help expose the truth, as pathetic as it may be. |

WE KNOW that this is a reputable cause that helps children and adults alike. Its pretty sad that we were trying to do something nice for someone and it turns out to be a sham. Please don't let this change of events hinder your support for this event.
