FERNDALE, Mich. - Tripper announced today that keyboardist Aaron Berch has joined the band and bassist Steve Walker has left the band.
Berch, who has performed several shows with Tripper since the release of "Yesterday, Friday & Today" is a longtime friend of Ken Thomas and Frank Buscemi. The three attended Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Twp., Mich. and were in the band "Uncle Aphrodisiac" togther in 1990. CLick "Read More" for details.
"We've all come a long way from the days in Frank's old basement," said Thomas. "Aaron will add a lot to the band, it's great that he joined us. It will be a good time."
"We put a lot of Hammond organ in the new record, and we needed to bring that fullness to the stage - Aaron gives us that capability," Buscemi added.
In the second lineup move, bassist Steve Walker will no longer be with the band. Walker joined Tripper in April 2001, but will now pursue other interests.
As the band is off for February - while lead vocalist Frank Buscemi is in Europe - a full search for a replacement is underway. Several Detroit-area musicians have offered to fill in on bass.
"We're taking our time with this one," said guitarist/vocalist Steve Marvicsin. "There are several qualities we're looking for- professionalism and ability, mainly - however, we all have to get along. There's a lot of work to be done here, but we also want to have fun with it."

Tripper is currently scheduling shows for March-June 2003. Visit TripperMusic.com for more information.
