| Clairification of “Jam Rag Press” |

tranzmission writes The former party that alleged they were the owners of “Jam Rag Press” has again withdrew their interest in the magazine. Whether or not this remains true, only time will tell. NO legal litigation has been or was ever started by the other party that I as the owner am aware of, this was and is a misleading statement.
Click "read more" below.
“Jam Rag Press” IS NOT changing its name; the format is changing and going back to the music, for the music and only the music. AGAIN “JAM RAG PRESS” is not changing its name. We own the rights to the magazine, magazine name and are proceeding forward.
Rumors and untruths are being spread and told about the new company owners that have no foundation or basis of truth, these are going to be dealt with on a professional and legal level. As advertisers or artists please do not be mislead by anyone representing themselves as the former “Jam Rag”, there is no former it still is and will be the original “Jam Rag Press”.
A web site is under development that will post every e-mail (over 100) between myself, former owners and the potential buyers that withdrew their offer and withdrew their “alleged claim” to the name. It will also have all copies of every piece of paperwork from contract to discontinuance of assumed name to registration of the LLC accessible for any verification needed.
We are currently accepting bands for mini-interviews, photos and CD’S for reviews, for the June issue. All genres are welcome and all story ideas are welcome….

Anyway, David n I were considering letting sleeping dogs lie with this...we had moved on with a new project and are happy to do so. Howver now you are threatening to publish private emails on your website....hmmm, what are we to do???
Well it seems we may need to go back to the lawyer and consult once again. As we had made clear to you before, there was an agreement in place, and payment was accepted against that agreement. In contract law, that is a viable contract! Not tomention that we published in good faith. Emails are a pale second to accepting a payment, especially when some personal issues are being sorted out between friends (steffie, David, Sue and I)
SO, we are back to square one it seems. You are not content to just make a public, unified statement which we can all cooperate on, and we are not content with being threatened on a band website!
Leagl drama is, unfortunately, an every day way of life for me due to a recent divorce...so please dont think for a minute that we would be intimidated by your threats!

David does not appreciate you lying about the paperwork you raced off to file in Lansing, thinking you were being smart. Just because a company name is filed at State level does NOT mean it legally belongs to you! We do have evidence that you tried registering our company name under Jam Rag Media...and NO that is not a 'legal technicality' or however you phrased that on this site previously. That was you trying to pull a fast one. You ignored us when we explained the situation before, and now you are trying to present as the 'good guy'. Anyone who knows the original Jam Rag Press owners know that you are certainly not acting like 'mr. good guy'! So quit with the threats towards us!! |

Please do one of two things either follow the legal route which you have spoke of more than once which I have yet to see anything on or as david suggested we sit down hash out an agreement and move on..........
and as far as my spelling goes, Im not real concernd about it...I have an editor when it matters..... |

I think most people understand that threatening to publish private emails on a public web site without the permission of those involved in the emails is serious. I was copied on the email Steffie directed to you warning you not to do that. I truly think her and Sue have been through enough without you being a complete jerk. If you think a hostile takeover of Jam Rag Press is going to serve you well in this interconnected music community, you are sadly mistaken. You are also seriously underestimating the network of people you will offend by behaving in this way. David has been in local bands for over 20 years and knows practically everyone in the Detroit rock-punk-metal scenes. You have flat out lied to him, me, Steffie,Sue and everyone on this site. This will have repurcussions for you,so do not blame us for the 'lost revenue' in your current sales work, and for people failing to take your project seriously. David and I already published Jam Rag once in good faith, with an agreement in place, a payment accepted, and a signed letter from Steffie and Sue stating we were the new owners...you have failed to recognise that.
The time for you and David and I to sit down and talk this through has come and gone. We have tried to be reasonable with you. Rest assured this will be handled through legal process, and if you think that is not about to take place then once again you are sadly mistaken.
