I like this article. Not a whole lot of BS goin' on.They sound to be a fine group. The song clips on the site are a little short. The vocals are mint. I love that nice stereo sound on the singer. I wonder what kind of rack she uses for that? How did that guy, (I think it was the guitarist) keep that WLLZ shirt in such good condition?! O.A. I'd give this band a 3+ 1tru5, but this is baised solely on very very short clips that I heard from their site.

I found some other clips and I would like to take back what I said. This is a first. I would actualy like to own this CD. I heard some other clips that were a little bit longer than the one long mix of various songs, and I would give them A solid 4 1tru5. Songs on web sites should really be up front and click easy. If I didn't go back for a second listen I would have never discovered what a great band this is.

Boy, I'd sure like to know about that effect rack, maybe just a studio thang. They probably don't sound that good live.....nevermind.

Hard to believe as it is, in a world of vocal greats like Britney, Ashley and Uncle Cracker, some people can actaully sing using their voice....no computers or pitch corection necessary.

WOW! What a novel concept.

See em live if you don't beleive me.

I can attest to that - Suzie Ferro's got a voice to die for. She and the rest of the band are killer live.

ok,but can anyone tell me a little bit about the gear? That is an effect used. what's so novel about that. (not to be a punk, but after the third ring I hang up)

The only thing that can be precived as an effect would be compression, verb, delay, and a doubled track where she sings the same thing twice and the two tracks are mixed together to create a fuller sound. These are very common and "old School" methods of recording vocals.

There are no pitch correction programs or processor units being used. What you here is what she sings. . . . . period.

I have never done that before, but the singers I have worked with.I don't think it would have worked to well, or sounded as good as that does.
